I did find one object once (a bottle cap), but in an attempt to cut the other end out, it broke into 2 pieces.
Sad! Obviously you are on the right track though.
The edges are also very rough, and I am sure would cause some level of discomfort to the glans.
That's why Jim and I always refer to the film canisters - their design and manufacture is almost perfect, if only the size suits.
Somebody ought to invent something to help out with this.
It should certainly be straightforward - it would be a set of plastic grommets (mouldings) of graduated sizes. The obvious problem would be getting the marketing off the ground - mass produced, the set would be worth about $5, but in small quantity, much more. Take for example, the apparently ridiculous price of foreskin restoration devices.
And potential legal considerations - one reason why I am not about to rush out and start manufacturing myself!
