>I'm sorry if this question sounds silly and unrealistic but like many other on this forum i have problems retracting when erect but not when flaccid is that a phimotic condition? Also, should the foreskin be fully retracted in order to have normal sex, i mean do normal uncircumcised men retract before entering the vagina? and Finally what exactly is a dorsal slit and what does it entail?

Are you currently sexually active? If so, is it satisfactory to you? If not, why?

Most guys prefer full retraction, but many can't accomplish such a feat, let life goes on.

To gain full retraction, your best bet is to do stretching exercises. Scroll down the page and read about the techniques. They work if you are willing to make them work. If you aren't willing to put in the time, then you either live with status quo or get chopped up.

Dorsal means top, as in dorsal fin, so a dorsal slit is done on the top of the freskin. Depending upon the surgeon, it could be just a token cut, or it could be cut down to the sulcus (groove). Some surgeons will suture up the cut laterally, or 90 degrees to the cut. This in effect will enlarge the opening, but cosmetically, it may not be the best answer. Other surgeons just leave the resultants flaps flapping, definitely not the best cosmetic effect!

Your best bet is take the stretching advice. The result is entirely in your own control. You know exactly what it will take to accomplish full retraction. It's easy, and costs absolutely nothing. Furthermore, you may even enjoy your little workout sessions!
