Really? Care to share what it was that she said, since it seems to have set you thinking about things and caused you to end up here!

> I can only pull back the foreskin partially, about half way, . . . Is this still Phimosis?

Yes, I think you can reasonably call it that.

> What are my options?

Well, listed in the messages below you have already seen the two options. You can go with Jim and "see your glass as half full", given that it has already progressively stretched to the extent that it has thus far, and simply needs some "encouragement" and determination to complete the process.

Alternatively, you can go with AJ and "see your glass as half empty", decide that it won't stretch any further, and go see a doctor with the expectation of a circumcision - as incidentally, he did and was not disappointed(!), as you will find if you read all about him way back in the archives.

If you have the time, I do suggest you have a good read here, so you may understand the bases on which each of us "speaks" here.

> I have heard about Betamethasone Creams, does this leave permanent results or just temporary?

Jim has explained the place of this cream (which should in fact be the ointment form according to proper medical practice) quite comprehensively. In particular he explains rather elegantly what makes the difference between "temporary" and "permanent". And I really do recommend a good and critical read through the forum here for further detail.

> Also can any GP prescribe this cream!

Ointment. Certainly.
