If you had time to post, it would be good to hear what your specialist recommends. I guess you’re right and the discussion on this forum, and most of the advice given, is based more on personal experience than on medical expertise.
But I think there’s a lot to be said for that. Medical practice does evolve, and sometimes takes note of the experience of people who have resolved potentially medical problems in non-clinical ways.
In Europe, the medically qualified view until fairly recently seems to have been that phimosis always required surgical intervention.
