It's unfortunate that "there's no such thing as a free lunch". This forum here has no ads (nor graphics, other than those you put in deliberately), therefore loads stunningly quickly and BTW, has apparently better control scripts. However, it obviously has but a tiny fraction of the traffic that FatherMag does, and were its traffic to increase significantly, it would go down (this has been threatened before if you read the logs).
FatherMag, being funded on advertising, is only barely afloat because few users actually respond to the ads - seems, it is frequented exclusively by tightwads! (:-)
Mind you, I don't see the ads or the pop-ups anyway, so it is much the same either way to me. (;-)
