>>>English Bloke
>>Thanks for that Ad, and to the others that have replied -its a great help knowing there are others that are going through or have been through this. I still can't believe I've been so naive all these years in not knowing about whether to pull the foreskin back or not. I've seen a few porn films over the years and noticed the lack of foreskin around the glan when someone is doing a "money shot" as they call it here, but always throught that was because they were circumcised !
>>Still, the main thing is I'm dealing with it I suppose, and so far so good. First of all I thought that I would have to have major surgery, but from what I've been reading this is not necessary.
>>I hope you're right about the sensitivity. I've had the foreskin pulled back all day to day (and pushed forwards whenever I go to the toilet in order to keep the skin elasticated) and I don't mind confessing that its been very painful at times when its rubbed against my shorts. Is it a good idea to keep the glan exposed for long periods in order to reduce its hyper-sensitivity ? My (uneducated) view is that the more I expose it, the quicker the sensitivity (or a "dryish superficial layer" as you said Ad) will form.
>>Either way, I'll keep you posted, and once again thanks to all of you for your help and advice.
>I have been wearing my foreskin back for a week or so now. And pulling it forward occasionally. I have kept it back all day and night although I have been awoken by the pain on getting erections a few nights!!This pain should become less frequent as your penis gets used to the condition.
And scrambled to get it forward again with alot of effort!
>I was REALLY sensitive at first too and when wearing shorts it was very uncomfortable. I started wearing briefs that were tighter and worked better and I have now lost that sensitivity and it's fine.Yes, all it takes to make the excess sensitivity go away is a (usually short) period of exposure to the open air.
The only snag is that some days I don't pull the foreshin back and and when taking a piss, now that my foreskin has stretched a bit I am spraying the walls and floors in the toilets in work!!! It easier to pee with it back!
Yes, of course! That's one of the great advantages of having a bare glans.
>it's still painful to have it back while erect but not as bad as it was... it seems to be working slowly.Yes, one would expect it to work out (cease being a problem) within a reasonable time.
>Ian.Chances are, Ian, that you'll find keeping it back is a very practical way of keeping it clean and 'ready for action' at all times. And the slight reduction in sensitivity should serve to keep you from being a candidate for membership in the 'Jackrabbit Club'.
I knew a cou0ple of guys in the Army who kept their foreskins back all the time. I didn't discuss this with them; you don't tend to discuss other guys' dicks with them unless you don't mind being considered 'strange'. But they both appeared totally content with how they were, and since field conditions sometimes kept us from showering for as long as three weeks at a time, a penis that stayed clean was a definite plus. Neither of them seemed to have any problems (other than those that confront everybody engaged in a war); one was happily married, other was single and an enthusiastically practicing heterosexual.
Hope everything's going well with you since you last wrote. Good luck!
