As an answer to: sex w/ circ vs sex w/ phimosis? written by mp at 09 May 2002 06:27:51:

>As I mentioned in the previous post, I have partial phimosis, i.e. hourglass effect when flacid; can't retract when erect.
>Today I was prescribed Kenalog.
>What I've been reading on the net has dissuaded from getting circumcision b/c of the concern of reduced pleasure during sex.
>Many years back I tried a stretching regimen according to another doctor's instructions. That didn't work. And, if the Kenalog cream doesn't work, I'm thinking circumcision can't worsen the situation (with respect to enjoyment of sex) since the foreskin not moving back and forth as it is anyway!
>Plus, and this pisses me off, I think I'm get about 5% of what I should be getting from oral sex because so much of the head is covered. So it seems to me that a circ would be a big improvement, sex-wise, at least for this.
>I mean, I agree, what I've read on the net about circumcision adversely affecting the pleasure of sex makes sense to me.
>But I have to wonder if in *MY* case anyway that maybe there is no downside since I'm not getting what I should out of it anyway?!
>(When I say downside I'm not talking about other issues like surgical complications etc. I'm aware of such issues, I'm weighing them as well, you don't need to remind me of them - but for the purposes of this post, I'm strictly focussing on the impact on sex.)
>Amy comments?

Stretching will always work when done correctly. To say it doesn't work is like saying gravity doesn't work. Try jumping from the roof and see what happens. Laws of nature always work, but we sometimes need the rules to make them work. Unlike gravity which requires no thought, stretching does require effort for the proper amount of time.

The steroid should make it easier to get results, but the stretching is still the key. I'd suggest using a device to wedge open the foreskin, thus making it stretch for hours on end. Go to the local hardware store and look for an assortment of corks. There should be one which fits into the opening at its greatest diameter. Lube it up and insert it. Leave it there all day long. You will notice a difference, and you'll notice it rather quickly, probably within a week. While the difference may not be great at first, it will eventually work to the point that you'll have total mobility.

You haven't stated your age. The younger you are, the faster the results. Make sure you are keeping yourself healthy with good diet and plenty of rest. Help your body to help itself.

Cutting off your foreskin may indeed help you temporarily, but in the long run, loss of sensitivity is inevitible, again a law of nature. You can't remove way over half of the nerves and expect to have the same results. When your foreskin is eventually working ideally, you'll be glad you didn't jump into a convenient temporary situation that so many do. There are many who have reported deep regret over doing such a thing. Once it's cut off, those nerves are gone forever. Any questions?
