I did mention to him that that I had been been reading about betamethasone and that's what I expected, but he said, like you, that they're both steroids and pretty much left it at that.

Due to my unfamiliarity with such products there was not much else I could say about it.

In fact, I was pleased b/c he suggested the cream before I even brought it up, which was a huge improvement over my gp who dismissed the idea of any cream helping phimosis out of hand.

Now my main concern is that, as soon as I got home I tried to find info comparing the two, (and luckily stumbled onto this forum!) and somewhere got the impression that Kenalog 0.1% is weaker than betamethasone...

Anyway, I hope this DrPaul will comment as you said.
