Stretching it a bit.

Could you elaborate on exactly what he said in this regard? Every detail you can recall?

I can only imagine he was concerned that you'd attempt to stretch "all the way" in one go, which is not the idea at all. On the other hand, unless you stretch it, the skin is not going to get looser. As Jim mentions, stretching by continuous pressure is now one of the "secret weapons" of plastic surgeons, whilst the traditional treatment for most "tubes" in the body when they become tight, is to stretch them either in one operation, or over three or four.

The latter approach is probably not appropriate for the foreskin as it might damage the essential elastic fibres in it. The other channels which are treated by one-step stretching are different insofar as once stretched, they are regularly re-stretched by normal activities, and are intended to close down in between by muscular activity rather then elastic tissue, so it is acceptable for them not to be truly elastic as the foreskin must be.

If I were to delve way back into the links, I could find the link to the Japanese manufacturer of custom-made pliers sold for the purpose of stretching!

While this would appear to maximise the effect of the steroid (cream? I always recommend ointment), my advice is simply twice a day, but to stretch, not necessarily hard, certainly not painfully, many times a day.

This is above all, a minimum requirement.

As Jim observes, it should have "done he trick" over the period of childhood and adolescence, but if you're running late, a different program may be needed, perhaps the optimum being a method of applying the stretch most of the day. As Jim has most certainly described.
