Possibly. Let's just summarise this a moment, partly as I'm too lazy to read back just now, and partly because it helps you summarise it yourself. How long is it now since you started, and just how wide was the foreskin opening to start?

How tight were you making them? Tight enough for them to stay in by themselves without taping? Small or big end inward? Did you use lubricant on them? And given all these other details, how uncomfortable were they in the manner you were using them?

How so? Do you mean you found the stoppers rather inconvenient, so only used them every few days?

The rationale for using it is after all, to speed things up. If you are patient enough to stretch less and therefore get slower results, you will likely get the same results, but you will in the process put much more work into it - it will be more tedious.
