Good for you, Danny. I was in a similar boat myself and know how difficult and how much courage it can take to tell some about it.
I had a partial circ just over a year ago, after suffering similar problems that you have (I had a tight foreskin and frenulum). I too tried stretching for a good while, but found it did'nt work. Anyway, I have put a Circumcision Faq online to answer quesitons about the surgery side of things (link at bottom of page) that you may have questions about. If there are questions you have that are not answered there, post here or e-mail me.
The waiting time in the UK varies (I'm guessing you in UK because you said "holiday" as opposed to the Yankee term of "vacation). I have spoken to people that have been seen within 6 months and some that have taken up to a year. This is because the surgery is not high priority, plus the NHS is pretty much crap. That is one of the reasons I went to a private clinic.
