See, now that was an interesting post. Food for thought. I enjoyed reading it. As you said you feel strongly about your view and must "speak out." I think that's great - that's what this place is for.

Calm, lucid, reasoned arguments are the way to go - ESPECIALLY for those trying to convince newcomers...

When I see somebody getting slammed as needing a pychiatrist, let me tell you it BACKFIRES, and it does not draw attention to the intended target - just the opposite - and let me say too, that I don't have the time or the interest in researching the archives to see "who started it" ...

However I will say that I would love to hear Phillip's points of view on these matters esp if he feels so strongly about them. Also, b/c apparently, as he pointed out, I have misconstrued them - sorry 'bout that Phillip.

I (like many others here I'm sure) want to take all the viewpoints and experiences from AS MANY and AS VARIED voices as possible and am not going to make any snap decisions on anybody's arguments or information...

The idea is to sleep on all this information overload - to let the cacaphony percolate in the mind over time so to speak...
