Thanks for the advice. I'm scheduled for my routine follow-up with my urologic surgeon next month and, believe me, this question will top my list.
Let me add that as someone who is a strict Catholic, was uncircumcised for 41+ years, and even if my penis head never regains its full sensation, I am still 100% convinced I did the right thing in getting a circumcision. Why? It turns out that the lesion I had (which I could not see due to the phimosis, and the phimosis could not be corrected by "stretching") probably came about 10 years ago, and has been aggravated (and aggravating) ever since. It most likely would have become cancerous if left untreated.
So, to anyone out there who is anti-circumcision: I respect your right to maintain your opinion, but my circumstance dictated a different treatment path. I am happy with my decision.
