>hey guys, well my urologist made me get circumcised because of phimosis and now I'm finding that I'm being desensitized and that I have a lower sex drive now, I was wondering if anyone else who's been circumcised as a teen has gone throught this.. pls write back
Not exactly sure what you mean by saying he made you do it. Didn't he ask you first?
Yes, everyone who has had his foreskin removed has experienced a reduction in sensitivity. When most of the pleasure giving nerves are removed, the result is inevitable. What is left gradually conditions itself to being constantly rubbed by foreign substances such as clothing, to a point that such conditioning confuses the nerves left into not understanding their role.
You can reverse some of the loss through foreskin restoration. What you will regain in sensitivity will be that of the glans and whatever inner foreskin you may have left. It's a tedious and lengthy process, taking anywhere from about two to five years of constant skin expansion techniques, slowly stretching the skin which if left and encouraging it to recover the area which is now nude. You can learn more about it at www.norm.org. Within the site are links that will take you to other sites explaining the various processes. You can do this with materials as simple as first aid tape and 35mm film canisters, or you can invest in commercially available stainless steel devices. Either will work if you are willing to put in the effort and time. Any questions?
