Have you had a look at the collection of supposed myths and lies compiled by Geoffrey Francis?
Rebutting this stuff in detail would take ages. But what drivel! And the man can't write. I mean anyone can write, and if you have a good argument, and want to present it well, you will work a bit on the words so they will read easily and clearly. But Francis, who is clearly a very arrogant chap, doesn't bother with this sort of ordinary, basic courtesy at all. It is this arrogance in any way connected with his advocacy of RIC?
In the "passages to manhood" web site from which the present forum - the ARC forum - derives, there is a response to Taylor's findings on the ridged band that is disturbingly similar to an idiotic response to Tayor's paper penned by... Geoffrey Francis. I'll go into this in more detail if anyone is interested. It is quite unbelievably stupid. So much so that you find yourself wondering if Francis might not be having a laff.
But why is Robin Stuart laughing along with him?
