Unfortunately, you've identified an inherant problem. Everyone has their opinion and often those who believe strongly are outraged when they see what they consider bad advice being posted. Then of course you always have people who have nothing better to do than cause trouble and enjoy the reaction.
That said, there are a lot of fine advice posts here. I'll forgo the mentioning of names but if you've looked over the replies, you'll notice many fine ones.
In short, if you have phimosis or other problem and want to ask a question, ask away, you'll get good advice and serious replies. Just ignore what you know to be foolishness and rubbish.
