I was in a similar position to yourself until last year when I was partial-circ'd to relieve the problem. Because the head of my penis had never seen the light of day prior to this, it was extremely sensitive and was painful. However, the good news is that after about 2-3 weeks (if memory serves) it got past the ultra-sensitive state and it wasn't painful. I can appreciate that in your current condition that seems unlikely, but in time it is okay.
>PS - Masturbation is fine, as are blowjobs (sorry for being graphic), as long as the foreskin is up.
Bah. It's like wearing a couple of extra condoms. Once you get the problem resolved (which ever method you choose), you'll be able to appreciate what most every other guy gets to experience.
Anyway, I put together an faq that might answer some questions you may have in regards to the surgical side of things. If there is stuff there that isn't covered just e-mail or leave a message here and I'll try and answer your question.
Hope this helps.
