Plastic is a good medium with which to work, because it is smooth and easily cleaned. I'd suggest starting with the cap from a pen such as a BIC. Lube up the cap and slip it into the opening, leaving it there for several hours at a time, taking it out only to pee. As the skin loosens up, you can graduate to a larger device.
