And that was my point. It is greasy (that's the definition of an ointment), but if you rub in just enough of the ointment, it will all work into the skin and there should be no greasiness left. That's a very small amount.
> I just started my first 60g tube of the steroid ointment and I still have 5 more refills. I don't think I will be able to finish the first tube in a short peroid of time.
If you are using it correctly, the first sixty gram tube (the PBS amount in this country is only 15 grams) should last about - two years or so! But you won't need to use it for anywhere near as long. Two weeks after there is no problem visible, give up on it, and use it again by the same rules anytime the trouble comes back. That's what we all do with our skin problems.
> It has only been 4 days since I first started appling the steroid and the swell ... has reduced in size so much.
I'll bet it has!
> What do you mean by "entirely cut and dried"? When you say it is "not entirely cut"...
A play on words. "Cut and dried" means "definite". My meaning was that it is not (by any means) definite that circumcision is a good means of treating BXO, even if some doctors do like doing it.
