Talk about a brouhaha...President Clinton was forced to ask for the resignation of his Surgeon General when she advocated teaching masturbation in American schools. Her aim may not have been to teach intact boys how to use and train their foreskin, but she did mean well. I would have welcomed such a class.
I, too, am not opposed to adults who choose circumcision, except that I cannot understand how a man with a rational mind would want to alter a perfectly good penis after learning how it is supposed to work. Last night a member of Circlist contacted me and we chatted for an hour. It was rather revealing. He was first circumcised in his fifties...and once again three years later. He said that he wished that foreskins would grow back following circumcisions..so that he could experience all of the variations, one by one. There is something else at work in cases such as this, as a "tight" foreskin has nothing to do with it. It is purely irrational behaviour. I'm not sure a psychiatrist could understand the motivation. Shouldn't such behaviour have a medical name?
>I'm opposed to routine neonatal circumcision, but not to circumcision when it is chosen by adult men for themselves. If a guy chooses it, and if he's doing this because his foreskins is too tight, well, you might suggest there are other options, but he's an adult, so of course it's up to him.
>It's important for people to enjoy sex to the max, but I don't think our society is quite relaxed enough about this yet. It certainly doesn't seem relaxed enough to accept that sexual pleasure, like pleasure in any other sport, is something most people will have to train for. Of course most guys train a good deal anyway, but this isn't something people tend to talk about in suitably practical terms. Too many presbyterians and such...
>I think foreskin maintenance should be at least mentioned in Sex Education at school, with various other pleasure-related topics too. Though imagine the brouhaha this sort of proposal would cause. In Scotland, at least, it would cause outrage. The sensible people behind this proposal would of course hardly be suggesting hands-on demonstrations. Nevertheless, this is how it would be reported in the tabloid press. Religious lobbies would go apeshit. Instructing our kids in sin! The work of Satan! Very bizarre.
>I think I remember that you made similar comments a few months ago. Also, you've resolved, or have very nearly resolved, phimosis by stretching?
