It's just a little tight, nothing else. As Dr Paul has indicated, it is not a medical problem, so any advice to see a doctor would be tantamount to advising getting your doctor to trim your fingernails. Of course, any self-employed doctor would oblige, most likely by advising some kind of surgery that pays a lot better than simple advice. You just got free advice from a doctor who is honest in telling you that you just need to stretch it a little bit.
Have you ever lifted weights? This is no different. You need to do it regularly and until the job is done. Your body, the same as every body on earth, is programed to build new cells on command. It doesn't care what the nature of the stimulus is; it just responds.
By applying tension to the area that is tight, you'll create temporary little gaps between the existing cells. By continuing the tension, the body will automatically add new cells to fill in the gaps. It has always worked that way, and there is no reason to believe it will not continue working that way.
So, my friend, the answer is in your own hands. Take them and get to work stretching the tissue where the tightness is. Do it gently, and do it often. Any questions?
