Certainly a rewarding step.

That sounds reasonable. In particular, from quite tight to most of the glans visible, albeit flaccid, might be expected to be the most difficult part.

As long as you are sensible and can gauge a reasonable degree of stretch, "side effects" would be most unlikely indeed.

Obviously it depends a lot on where you started form, whether there is any reason for scar tissue to be present or not and such. Best go for progress rather than completion, though even so, there may be "plateau" phases to which Jim refers where it seems not much is happening.

Two reasons for this may be a biological "gear change" while the cells sort of "switch" to a growing mode or disperse some scar tissue (it is interesting that stretching or constant pressure as used by the burn suits and the "scar removal" dermal sheeting actually seems to cause scar tissue to shrink away and soften); and the possibility that there are different tight areas, one which might stretch relatively easily while another area, tighter but initially wider, may lurk behind the first.

However it may be, the point is once you have proved to yourself that stretching is effective, you should and need to persist even if it does slow down, and should plan ahead and "psych" yourself up ready to work through it before it happens.
