The only thing you need from a doctor is a prescription for Betamethazone ointment or cream. Actually, if you live in the US near the frontier with Mexico or have a friend who lives near it, you can walk in any farmacia and buy it without a prescription. The diagnosis has already been made, the issue now is preserving your body part, so a physician will do just fine. Actually, if the one you saw will write the prescription you could go back to him. Just TELL him )don't ask for his advice) you are going to try the cream. Print out a copy of one of the various articles from www.cirp.org if he's a clueless moron and doesn't know anything but cut.
