As an answer to: Why? written by Tommy at 12 Sep 2002 15:36:47:

Dear Tommy:

I for one could care less about someone's "real" name. To me, AJ is AJ, unless he wishes me to know him by something else. However, in the struggle for people's minds, a few individuals tend to get rather personal. In my case and on another site, AJ attempted to discredit me by posting information about my Yahoo Personal profile on which there is a nude photograph. Because I have long ago overcome debilitating shame and because I am a nudist, his attempt to slur my reputation had no effect on me whatsoever, except that it brought me several new friends. My response was an attempt to mend fences, so to speak, realizing that said AJ has exhibited problems with dissent to his posted views.
In other cases there were, perhaps, more pointed attacks on other people. I don't know.

One would hope that intellectual arguments could be focused by reason and logic toward a common end. I believe that the trouble comes when reason and logic are suspended or cut short and when subjective views take charge. That's when things can get personal and unpleasant.

Why are you guys always wanting to know what AJs real name? I have not seen him ask for yours and put it on this forum? What would you do with it? Why is it important? Shouldnt you be concentrating on circs instead of this? Get a life.
