HI everyone,

I hope you don't mind a womans input into the conversation. But I've been dealing with LSA and researching it for about 14 years for myself as well as running a list for women with it for years. Always glad to check out something new like the Thula and someone was kind enough to pass that on to me, (thank you) It does seem like it would be worth a try, (male or female)

Up till now for all of us, the commonest form of treatment has been the steroids like Clobetasol which can extremely damaging with over use. (Usually no more than 2 weeks) Fortunately for many women adding the Estrogen cream Estrace has definitely helped restored the tissue as well as release those adhesions. (it's even been suggested in some legitimate studies for men as well as boys even tho it's a hormone cream) That was what worked for me (as well as adding a natural Testosterone cream and I've been well nearly 4 years now after 10 years of hell and personally won't go near a steroid with the damage they did to me.

But I have to let you know about a newer ointment (Prescription) that's out called Protopic (tacrolimus) either .1% for adults or .03% for children. You may have already mentioned this before and if so please forgive me. But I'm seeing tremendous results with the women who've tried it. In fact I'm currently running a poll with it. It 'acts' like a steroid, but isn't one (it's a macrolide) by halting those cytokines, histamines, inflammation, etc and slowing down the immune system (as do the steroids) and by the way I am almost convinced it is an autoimmune disease ( over 50% of women have a certain gene mutation with double alleles). The Protopic halts those mast cells, basophils, etc. and why it works so well.

But the best thing about it is that it doesn't destroy the tissue as a steroid cream may. It was specifically made for those with Psoriasis or Eczema, and doctors are using it 'off label' for the genital area and it's working!! It can be extremely irritating for aproximately 3 days or less, (some not at all) but after that it's like a miracle and they were glad they stuck with it. Some after severe pain for 15-20 years or more. You might want to consider it's use.

About the circumscision? NO thank you for men or women if it's not needed, and besides LSA has been shown to repeat itself even with skin grafts of healthy tissue and why surgery is never or rarely recommended.

I'll go back into lurking mode but I do hope it helps someone out there.
And thanks again for the tip of the Thula, I do recall several articles about the Coal Tar connection and using that long ago.

Best wishes to all and even more a healing if you have LSA or BXO.

Warmest Regards

Dee
