Heh, Heh, let's not get too enthusiastic about having chunks removed! If the condition is controlled, the skin should look pretty normal, and the specialist would be looking for nodules or shiny hard spots reminiscent of the original disease. If these have recurred despite the steroid (or whatever), then he might perform a further biopsy to check, but random biopsy of apparently healed skin is of no purpose.
