Well thank you for responding...
I am 21 and I used to never have a problem retracting. It all started about roughly 2 years ago that the problems arised. I would get this white dry skin every now and again and then slowly my foreskin would get tighter and tighter. I had sex recently and I was sore for a few days and my foreskin wouldn't even go fully back during sex it was that tight (while erected).
I decided to go to my doctor about. I was so nervous but I finally told her that I thought I had some form of Phimosis and she quickly responded by saying I should then get circumcised. I responded back by telling her that I wasn't interested what so ever and that I would like a perscription of Betamethasone. She said some crap like "oh' that won't help it will reoccur". I have another appointment scheduled for the 14th of October.
I was actually wondering if any of type imidazole cream or the oral treatments which you mentioned can be obtained any possible way without a persription. Due Completely to my hack of a doctor not knowing any better. Concerning her wanting me to have the dreaded "C" word done to me.
Any help will be much welcomed. Thank you>> Well the reason I ask is because in the last few days I have been taking Betmethasone ointment.
>I assume you mean using the ointment. {:-)}
>> The problem is when I stretch skin starts to rip.
>This primarily suggests that you have a bit of a problem with "Thrush" - Candida Albicans infection, which produces a white adherent material and inflammation of the skin. To eradicate this you may need to use either an imidazole cream such as clotrimazole (Canesten, Clonea), or an oral treatment such as Ketoconazole (Nizoral) or perhaps Fluconazole (Diflucan), for a week or two to allow the skin to recover its integrity, before you can stretch effectively (and perhaps more gently).
>And when you do use the ointment after it is healed, you might note if you have not already, my instructions on exactly where to apply it.
>> I have just found out about LSA/BXO on this forum and I believe I have the symptoms of it. Ex. The tip of my foreskin is white, scar tissue,etc.
>Those symptoms are more of Thrush. Before you treat (anything as) LSA, you must have a biopsy to prove it, or as in anything, you might do more harm than good. Remember it is rare, and Thrush is common.
>Perhaps you might describe your progress to this point in more detail - how old, whether you could previously retract and over what time you developed phimosis and how severe, whether you have seen a doctor, how this affects sex etc..
