After seeing your post and you mentioning a look like white scar tissue, to me that is a typical sign of BXO or LSA. The typical protocol is to use a steroid topically such as the Betamethasone. Previously it was a testosterone cream until steroids became the sweethearts though some doctors still use it and it can work. (I prefer that myself) It is a disease that does show a lack or lessening of Testosterone 'receptors' in LSA patients with biopsies.

I can tell you, if you have that white/gray thin parchment look, like wet cigarette paper that is usually the dead give away. It's quite common with women with LSA and it's not a yeast/thrush infection. If it were I think you should be able to wipe that off and it would usually leave the tissue red and inflammed underneath.

I would think if it doesn't wipe off that it just really may be LSA. Certainly any doctor worth their salt should know the difference. Good luck with the steroid cream if you use it, but be aware that 'overuse' can be detrimental as well, it's a finely honed double edge sword as it's side effects with overuse can thin the tissue even more. Just my thoughts on it.
