Not really. I classify it the same as what collects in any infrequently-visited skin crevices, notably the umbilicus (belly button), the groin folds in general, and somewhat similar to earwax.
But if you really want to check out smegma in detail, go unfurl a girl! No shortage.

As I have said, you don't hear of women obsessing over it (though I daresay a few do). Why? Nothing truer than "out of sight, out of mind". After all, our friend here has had it most of his lifetime with no troubles whatsoever, but only recently discovered it.
