> I do have another method of masturbation, which is technically abnormal
Please do not fall into the trap of referring to "normality". It is neither meaningful, nor particularly useful.
> I basically leave the foreskin unretracted and rub it and push it upwards, if that description makes any sense.
It makes plenty of sense, as Ralesk mentions, it is simply one option available to all intact men, and one that is quite predictably, more likely to be adopted if the foreskin is difficult to retract.
> This I know is nothing like sex and it would be much healthier if I could learn normal masturbation.
Honestly, I cannot see for the life of me, see why or how it could be "much healthier" if you opt to "learn normal masturbation". It should be pretty obvious that most masturbation techniques are "nothing like sex" for a number of reasons.
Presuming that by "sex", you mean vaginal intercourse, then it involves sliding the penis back and forth in a passage that is relatively long, exerts a consistent pressure, and well-lubricated. Most methods of masturbation by hand involve a distinctly less smooth and non-uniform pressure as occasioned by the fingers over a much shorter span, and a quite different lubricity either from the "rolling" of the foreskin or the use of an artificial lubricant or as some circumcised men actually do, dry rubbing, whilst all the elements of warm contact with the partner and other areas touched are absent.
Not surprisingly given these factors and context, most men use a much faster action than is even possible in intercourse, so overall, it is pretty useless to judge masturbation techniques by how much they resemble intercourse - they just don't!
In short, you are merely inventing concerns that aren't, or shouldn't be there.
> I was wondering if these kind of worries were normal at this stage in the stretching process?
Most probably. Like all worries without foundation, you just need to learn to work beyond them.
> At the moment it seems I can acheive a loose foreskin in a few months, but actually learning to get pleasure the normal way looks impossible.
Nonsense. It is common for people of both sexes to become "fixed" on a particular "style" of sexual stimulation. It may or not matter as long as they are satisfied, but there is much to be said for practicing various styles for variety. One quite obvious approach is to alternate continuously (in each session) between the more and less successful styles until both are equally effective.
