>I have just been told by a urologist that I have BXO, he has gave me no info and has scheduled me for an urgent circumcision.
We've seen people come out, heal up and continue having BXO. Circumcision does not help it. That's like trying to get rid of psoryasis on one's hand by chipping out the chunk of skin, just to realise that it will turn up on another or even a nearby spot.
>I have had this problem for over a year,my penis is like the examples posted on the net, my fore skin will not pull back and the only way I can clean it is using cotton buds.
I doubt cotton buds are a good idea...
> I am not happy with the circumcision option the urologist say's it's the only option, due to the length of time and the state my penis is in. Also being a diabetic doesn't help.
Don't accept that "treatment" for your own sake. See above and the archives (there was a long discussion between Paul B. and another forum visitor on BXO about a month ago)
>Is circumcision the only way, given the length of time I have had the BXO.
Circumcision is not a way /at all/ in this particular case.
>Are there less evasive procedures I could ask for.
If I recall correctly, it was thuya oil or something like that that helped someone. Please read back on the previous pages.
>Have I passed this on to my wife,I'm really worried about this. (I was given absolutely no info on this BXO)
>My young daughter loves to wash my hair while I'm in the bath, can I pass it onto her or to any of my children. I know I may be over reacting but I cannot nail down these points.Doubtful on that latter one, no, I don't think so.
>As I went to my GP in the early stages of this and ever since, should I be angry with my Doctor for not diagnosing this in the first place. He said I had thrush.
Did he give any solutions to thrush itself, at all?
>One of the main reasons I'm asking these questions, some of the info on the net is scaring the life out off me, so rather than worry because I jump to the wrong conclusions I thought I'd set my pride aside and ask.
Good choice. The more one asks, the more one gets to know. The more one knows, the bigger the chance to choose the way best for oneself.
