I think everything about the practice of circumcision is quite absurd, precisely equally so for males as for females.
How absurd? Well, considering it is or was, outside the Jewish and Moslem belief systems and odd areas of tribal Africa, virtually unknown until just over a century ago, we really have to ask why would it ever be performed?
I mean, unless there was present, proven life-threatening disease such as cancer, why would anyone want to cut pieces off their genitals, or even worse, how could a developed society permit people to cut pieces off children's genitals? Is this not the behaviour expected only of mentally ill persons or psychopathic criminals?
But now, why do you ask?
