I don't think actual scarring would go that quickly, but when you mention "tearing", I think you mean "fissuring" - little cracks that open up on the stretch, and you presumably had redness and irritation.
I still suspect a yeast infection - it's not just women who get them and pass them on to men, and the fissuring is a classic indication. Severe yeast infection, as the ladies may get, shows up obvious white discharge from the vagina and possibly white spots on the moist areas, but it does not have to have the white spots to be Candida (that's what "Albicans" means in the name - white spots!). Even if not white, itchy and quite clear red spots are characteristic, but you can still get Candida without any such clear markings.
My point is, if you only just developed it at the age of 31, there must be some reason to get the problem, and if it wasn't Candida, one wonders what else. I'll let Jim (the senior one, at least as far as time on the board goes) kick in if he fancies and grill you for risk factors and practices - he has a "thing" about the Candida, diet and such.
> My wife and I are no longer together, and besides,
I gather you are implying here that you are pretty celibate and couldn't have caught anything.
> Why did you suggest I get screened for Diabetes? Is there some connection that I don't know bout?
So it would seem. Diabetics, uncontrolled with a super-high blood sugar, "leak" sugar (glucose) out of the body in the urine, but also in the sweat and whatever else. Normally there is no sugar in the urine. Now this Candida loves sugar, so a residue of sugar(y urine) under the foreskin is an open invitation for Candida - which is always around your body anyway; why it's so difficult to get rid of "permanently" if you have it - to have a party and cause trouble.
> The website never mentioned it,to my knowledge.
You mean the "male-initiation.net" site or this forum? Perhaps you need to understand that these are two different things. "Male-initiation.net" is a site which hawks the personal and slightly eccentric personal beliefs and imaginations of - the guy who wrote it all. It does not necessarily resemble completely factual medical advice. Most of us who advise here, entirely ignore it and would not refer to it as particularly useful, though some of the ideas are - interesting.
Whenever we (and by "We", I am generally including Jim, "Rood" and Ralesk) refer to advice, or "reading back", we are referring to this forum including its archive pages. If nothing else, this at least represents contributions from a number of posters of various persuasions, some considerably more believable than others!
I started to post some thoughts about how you decide what to believe on the Internet, but it sounded a bit "preachy", so I cut it.
> I'm reassured that you think 1 tube of this cream is enough to "solve" my problem.
It's potent!
> The only problem I have now ... slight tightness
Stretching as described.
> Around the same time as I developed the phimosis,I also acquired hemerrhoids, and a severe double-toothache problem as well. ... I wonder if the underlying cause for my hemerrhoids may be somehow connected to this phimosis as well?
Well, what sort of trouble were the haemorrhoids causing? If for example it was itch, I would suspect that may have been Candida, as that is - surprise, surprise - a particularly common cause of (prei-)anal itch. And antibiotics as you might take for an infected tooth, most certainly can by knocking out the "friendly" bacteria on the skin, allow Candida to take hold.
Apart from that, I cannot think of any connection, but if one suddenly comes to mind, I'll post it.
> You're like the "Foreskin Samaritan",
Hmmm, interesting concept!
