I appreciate you comments, Glider, though I am concerned that you would rather we (adults) should encourage to unsupervised children "filed down bottle tops or whatever" as a viable or more desirable alternative to other treatments (including circumcision). In truth I can guarantee that no doctor would ever suggest these techniques (for want of a better word). The potential for afflicted trauma to the area is far more hazardous and potentially damaging than any legitimate surgery. I would recommend a consultation to anyone before considering any of the disputed techniques.

While stretching of the foreskin may help relieve the inflammation of mild phimosis, it is characteristically only temporary (if of any benefit) to any degree more severe. The stretching of the frenulum is not something I would ever suggest given the amount (or lack thereof) research done in this field. I would not be inclined myself to offer any treatment based on what a relatively small number of individual(s) have reported on the Internet as an approved or accurate representation for a study.
