partial circumcision

Although this is my first post, I've sifted the forum countless hours in the last few months and I need to thank EVERYONE here for the support and literature they've contributed; it's been most helpful. I underwent a partial circumcision on 10/29/02 because I was experiencing a phimotic condition where the foreskin was 100% retractable while flaccid, but 0% retractable when erect. I also had a tight frenulum. I used topical steroids but my impatience for a swift cure to phimosis didn't allow for significant results to develop. Shame on me! But anyways, the surgery was a success. Right now my penis and foreskin resemble the 7/24/02 pic on this link: http://home.epix.net/~wbpa/results.htm
I'll be undergoing foreskin restoration soon to get back that overhang. The stitches have almost completely dissolved. They hurt like metal thorns stabbing the glans during the first week but softened up and melted afterwards. I was specific in my discussions with the urologist to have as little foreskin amputated as possible (he seems to have cut more than I would have liked) but all-in-all I am pleased. It's a relief I avoided a full circ so KUDOS TO THIS WEBSITE (otherwise I would have naively consented to a full circumcision as the doctor urged). I maintain 100% of my sensitivity but have learned I'm hypersensitive. I've read here to dab oil of cloves on the glans and expose it to air. Hopefully that works.
After desensitizing somewhat, my next hope will be to retract the skin fully while erect since I've never done that and it's too soon to be experimenting down there. I was directed to refrain from sexual manipulation/gratification during the next 3-4 weeks so the stitches could seal fully and not tear. My next fear/concern is that I'll experience paraphimosis. If that happens, I'll manage by stretching and utlizing the bethamethasone cream. Thanks for listening guys - you've been a great help!
P.S. I'll keep you all posted.
