In the sense that you are doing something to stimulate the redness, yes it is a normal reaction. The redness occurs as a defense against intrusion by outside invaders so to speak. Normally, the foreskin is a defense against infection, but when you do something to your body that overwhelms the normal immune system, you are going to get reactions.

The real question is, what are you doing to cause the problem? Various causes include antibiotics, sensitivity to soap, too much sugar in the diet, diabetes or sex with the wrong person. Have you had a diagnosis to detemine what possible infection you may have, or whether it may be just irritation?

One thing is certain. Foreskins do not cause infections or redness. Find the cause for your body to be out of balance and correct it.
