so, take it out of context... A certain George loved to do such things. He got a rant up his arse he never reacted to.
What is being said, is that the medical books depict the penis /without/ foreskin and the most that is said about it is "it is usually removed soon after birth for various reasons." Now thereafter the medical students learn about every bit of the body very precisely, even including the penis itself.
This is what Jim pointed out. So yes, most doctors who had learned from American studybooks (and American doctors won't be taught with European or Asian ones, now will they...), don't know /anything/ about the foreskin, other than it is not present on most males they'd encounter. So unless the doctor him/herself has read up on the subject from whatever non-American medical sources (ie. Beaugé), any patient who still has his foreskin and has the slightest problem with it, will face the idea of just having to get rid of it. What /else/ would the doctor suggest, if that's the only solution he/she knows?
