One never knows. I have just spent the afternoon boning up (not on things penile, but) on malignant melanoma. That may not be at all relevant, but it was shall we say, salutary. It just reminded me that here (Australia) at least, we have a number, which I hope are quite representative, of good, competent specialists who have no interest in unnecessary surgery - the dermatologist pointed out that he makes a point of explaining to many people (notably teens and children, via their parents) why they do not need moles removed simply because they are there - and actually avoids performing excisions.
I already know only too well that both our general surgeons and urologists take great pains to avert requests for circumcisions, many of which are if they (parents) insist, required to go to another town in consequence.
The fact that the rebate for a circumcision is piddling - barely worth the effort and skill involved (generally not using a clamp or Plastibell as such as are performed, are at least a year of age) is but a minor part of the consideration, and parents are now advised that by requesting or "consenting" to such a procedure, they are putting themselves as well as the surgeon at risk of future legal action.
Obviously, I am proud of the local medical people, but their stance is more that of simple common-sense than a special ideology - circumcision is a mutilation, is unjustifiable, and is an assault (occasioning actual bodily harm).
So, just perhaps that urologist really does want this fellow to be properly dealt with, even if he has not studied the stretching procedure.
> And what was the Bible...study... chapter and verse?
It was the first chapter of James, discussing the building of character through "trials" and adversity. I trust you will see the parallel, albeit a bit oblique, with experience gained through making mistakes and suffering the consequences.

I certainly follow the concept of the story, but you were speaking more of a situation where the prey is caused to race to exhaustion whilst the predator rests. Never mind!
