As an answer to: Lost causes... written by AJ at 03 Dec 2002 01:23:58:
>>Also, i should say that my phimosis means the hole is prettty small, about the diameter of my forefinger. it really is small. is this a lost cause?
>It's generally accepted that anything other than mild phimosis is not going to be relieved by stretching alone.Generally accepted by whom?
Members of the anti-circumcision community will tell you that it works for everyone everytime regardless of the severity.
Severity of what?
For real and objective advice the best thing to do is speak to your doctor or a urologist to discuss the proposed benefits of stretching and examine the chances for success.
Objective to whom? Proposed benefits? Isn't retraction the proposed benefit? Chances for success? Can't you see the success right here?
It would also be worth your time discussing hte potential downfalls involved with these techniques.
What potential downfalls?
>> i was also wondering, would anything bad happen if i put too much on or if it got all over the glans by accident?
>There's certainly bad things that can happen if you are too eager. What kind of bad things?
Sometimes even when you are not.
How does that happen?
Elongation of the foreskin can sometimes be an undesirable consequence of stretching.
To whom is it undesirable, Tara?
Or, as has been demonstrated in the forum - misdiagnosis of the problem.
What was misdiagnosed?
Without a proper examination by a medical professional you run the risk of elongating your foreskin while the problem could be with the frenulum (this has happend here before).
Cite an example.
There's also the risk of tears leading to scarring which could lead to a worsening of the condition
Risk of scarring. How?
(see here). There's always a chance for success of course. Jake Booth has been happily stretching away for the past 7 or 8 months and is quite happy with his progress by all accounts.
He followed directions. Pretty simple.

>>yknow someone has to be cautious if its about ones penis.
>Damn straight. That's why you should seek the opinion of a qualified individual and not an arm chair doctor like you find on these forums.PaulB is a trained and licensed family physician in Australia. Do you not recognize Australia as a country able to educate doctors and license them?
>All the best.
AJ, you don't mean that and you know it. You are so full of shit that your eyes are turning brown.
