>Actually, your advice applies equally if he were to suggest circumcision with an explanation. Even if there was some anticipation that the marks were some form of melanoma (malignancy being particularly rare in a 16-year-old, according to the lectures I attended last weekend), it could not be diagnosed without a biopsy (removal for testing) of a small piece - a mere three or four millimetres round.And then I could now say that "w/o biopsy" means for me "w/o explanation" {:]
