I surmise that most guys who have phimosis, simply don't know they have phimosis, so they simply have sex and ignore it, marrying, having kids and the whole bit. Perhaps a small proportion have some discomfort if it is tight enough not to retract, but not so tight as to prevent it trying.
By and large, those who realise they have a phimosis, go on to do something about it, either going to a doctor (and risking being circumcised in many countries), or making the simple logical connection - it does not pull back, so we make it pull back by persistent trying, taking each little advance as reassurance that it will go the next bit further in good time.
And as to girls, there are two main groups, those who are "grossed out by the penis", and those who have at least some germ of intelligence and/ or education. I know this is a pretty critical judgement, but let's face it, that is what we are talking about, either they can cope with life and the penis, or they live in la-la-land and can't really cope with either. The latter group are patently more susceptible to various pseudo-cultural and back-street urban myths, so yes, if they could ever figure out what "phimosis" was, they might well take a dislike to it.
But it wouldn't be the phimosis, or the size, or any of the other imagined "wrong"s. More to the point, it's a way of demonstrating their total inability to consider anyone other than their own self.
