As an answer to: skin tears and frustration... written by michael at 10 Dec 2002 02:36:41:
Hi Michael, sorry to dissect your post, but I'm going to address each concern individually for the sake of clarity...
>I can't stretch effectively when my foreskin is too painful(because of small open wounds).
It's not unheard of for stretching to do this. See this page for more information about the pitfalls of stretching (the anti-circumcision community will suggest this is a fetish site speaking crap, but ask your doctor or a specialist and see who they agree with).
>I can't really alter my diet because of financial and other restrictions.
Dieting and phimosis are not related. Thin, fat, healthy eaters and unhealthy eater have it.
>When my foreskin develops a cut like this, what should I do?
Stop stretching. Though I'd suggest you visit the above site link, specifically this excerpt:
" These (like any other tears or breaks in the skin) will heal with formation of scar tissue. The scar tissue is even less elastic than the skin around it and thus the condition is made worse not better."
>How best to treat it?
How best to treat it? See a doctor (an actual doctor not an internet arm-chair doctor). Get their advice or a referral to someone that can objectively talk you through the available treatments and otpions. It may be embarrassing, but at least you'll know that you'll be getting qualified and (hopefully) the correct advice.
>I usually slather vaseline on it,but because of masturbation,it always gets broke on the sides of my phimotic ring.
That's not good.
>I don't masturbate that frequently(about once every two weeks, now),so help me out here, please!
As a man you should be able to expect to have fun with Mistress Palm and her Five Daughters with far more frequency that you are, and without any of the trouble.
>I wish to have sex soon, but I'm worried about not being able to perform adequately, especially since my phimosis doesnt seem to want to recede, and my foreskin is tender and sore most of the time these days.
It can be painful. It can also make it feel like you have a super tight and thick condom on. That's why you should get it sorted. Sadly, either way you look at it, there is no "easy" fix.
Hope this helps.
