Everything you have mentioned can be within the realm of normal, including the fears about nothing. However, when a lump appears when nothing was there before, it is time for immediate action, as testicular cancer is nothing to mess around with. Detected and treated early enough, in can be treated quite successfully as evidence by Lance Armstrong.
