Sorry, I can't fully answer your question as to the mechanics of why it works. I found from personal experince that it does, having discovered the treatment through reading a book on the subject. My hunch is that feeding the overgrowth of yeast which also would be present in the intestinal tract allows it to flourish and continue infesting other areas of the body such as the foreskin in this case. By starving the yeasts, the other controls (friendly bacteria) are able to reestablish themselves and bring back balance.
