I can't help with a personal account, but i would suggest that you check the numerous posts along these lines at the Fathermag forum on Circumcision. There are also some relevant comments on the Teen Sex and Penis Size fora. By the way, it is a delight to find an MD (American?) who acknowledges that there could be a sense of loss, betrayal, and other psychological effects from infant circumcision. Too often all we hear about doctors is of them being more ready to cut than a barber. It leads to those who disfavor circumcision eschewing recommending medical advice, and those who favor it recommending medical advice as a proxy for cheering on circumcisions.
