Let me explain this in a round-about fashion, by giving you an illustration.
I hope you do not smoke. Cigarette manufacturers have taken it upon themselves (whether any laws have been passed to impose it may or may not be relevant) to label their cigarettes with their "nicotine content". The argument is implied, that smokers can do themselves less damage by choosing cigarettes with lower nicotine content. Sensible idea, eh?
Of course not - complete balderdash! But why?
Well, of course, smokers regulate their intake of nicotine by the degree to which they inhale as they smoke. If a cigarette has a lower nicotine content, then they simply inhale twice as much (or twice as often), to obtain the amount of nicotine to which they are accustomed, or crave.
In the process, they take in if not twice as much tar (though that may also be reduced in the formulation), but also twice as much carbon monoxide and other carcinogens (which are not as readily controlled). As you well know, most of the cigarette is wasted in any case, burning in between "drags", so there's plenty to spare.
Well, stimulation of the penis is somewhat similar - the sensitivity of your penis is set as much by what you are doing, as by any actual parameter of the penis itself, and certainly so as it relates to premature ejaculation, and indeed, you adjust how vigorously you thrust during intercourse, to what sensation you feel. In fact, the build-up to orgasm is mostly determined by two things - how vigorously you thrust, and your excitement in having your partner involved.
Two demonstrations of this, well known to those who have presumably been indulging a bit longer than yourself and had time to make more observations, is that you may accelerate the orgasm (if you wish to at some point), by tensing your leg muscles (just as you probably already have at times during masturbation, say, by squatting), and that it becomes difficult not to orgasm soon after you feel your partner doing so, even if you are doing little or no thrusting.
Indeed, the ultimate example of the latter, is where the ejaculation is so premature, that it happens in the process of first inserting the penis, with no previous stimulation at all, other than the excitement of having your partner there and the opportunity to do it. It becomes obvious from this, that it is not the actual sensitivity of the penis at all, that is resulting in premature ejaculation.
And it is all the more likely that it is circumcised men who suffer more from premature ejaculation, because being less sensitive, in order to actually feel the stimulation on their penis, they actually tense up more and thrust more vigorously.
