As an answer to: E-mail pictures... written by AJ at 15 Jan 2003 19:25:40:

>>If people e-mailed their problems with pics, then the diagnosis or advice would be easier to suggest.

   I'd also refrain from e-mailing.

>E-mailing pictures could be a good idea in some regards.

Though indeed, it has its pros and cons.

> However, there are contributors here that are too afraid to post their e-mail address for some reason (Jim).

Why pick on Jim?  Most of us here don't give out our e-mail addresses.  The least I'd want to see in my precious mailboxes is [more] spam (hooray for spiders and robots) and abuse.

> There's also the issue of some people accepting the pictures simply because they are pervs and have a foreskin fetish etc.

That latter one was surely an unneeded snipe.  Shows how much you are NOT on the fence, in my humble opinion.
However, why is this a problem?  Some people would get off on the pictures (and mind, not only intact guys come here with problems, but also circumcised ones), and enjoy themselves at home --- right, how does one's personal little date with his hand (that is, the person potentially enjoying the pictures) harm anyone?

> Most importantly I don't think it would be appropriate for certain individuals here to encourage youngsters to post pictures of the penis.

I can feel you're again picking on certain one individual you just can't shut up about.
On the other hand, I don't think any of us /encourages/ underage males to post.

>>I know that I've often read the messages, and tried the suggestion, not fully undestanding what to do. Pictures or diagrams would help.

I could bother drawing something, but...  I'm lazy.  And I honestly don't want to be called a pervert exhibitionist by certain individuals, so I wouldn't want to show pictures of me holding the foreskin in the way we describe in nice written sentences (that is, for stretching), etc.

>Misdiagnosis has happened here before. That's why it essential to get an actual real-world examination to determine the correct nature of the problem before offering solutions.

However, it must be noted that it had also happened the other way around too, and even it has happened that someone got circumcised for BXO/LSA and later he had to learn that the problem returned (that's about as much of a bullshit solution as if I had a 1 sq in sized piece of skin on my right hand excised, just because I have psoriasis there.  Rrrright!)
