> Well I'm glad to see that not everyone who replied to the suggestion is narrow minded like Jake!
Jake is an archetype. He is young, and he is naïve. He can see the sense in the physical arguments regarding circumcision, but he has no experience from which to draw in the fine discrimination of character, consequently making the most terrible faux pas. However, I trust his wisdom will grow with experience, whilst others will not.
> The idea is not for 'pervs' to come and look, but rather to help the people who are finding trouble with fixing their problem.
This is a perceptual problem people commonly suffer. In fact, it is the absolute bane of our decadent "civilised" society, showing up in forms such as "political correctness". The argument runs, that if something might potentially have some bad consequences through those who are determined to misuse it, then it must be prohibited to everyone despite it being the only way to actually address and eradicate a certain, much more important problem.
Another common example of this is the criminalisation of the use of certain drugs.
> I would welcome anyone to confidently send pictures of their problems and then see what suggestions can be made. I know that my personal problem has made me paranoid, and would like to see pics of any other guys who have the same problems as I.
Eminently sensible approach.
> Lets face reality.
Oh My! - What a suggestion! Look, if you face reality, reality is that many people will do anything in order to avoid facing reality. It's the very tendency to avoid facing reality which enables abuses, of which circumcision is but one end of the spectrum, to continue and to be handed down from generation to generation by the tradition that "nobody talks" about "those things".
> If 'Pervs' (a term which I don't like using anyway) want to look at the site, then so be it, there is a wealth of free porn on the internet for people to look at.
Correct.
> Young children are exposed to it every day; it's not right, but its a situation we have created ourselves.
Well, perhaps so, perhaps not.
> In my opinion if pictures will help people understand their problem and how to sort it out, then I am an advocate of the idea, and support it. This is the reason why we should look at this consideration and not get swayed by the 'pervs' who choose to ruin and control what possibilities we may consider.
Agreed on all points.
