Also the same technique used when conjoined twins are separated. Weeks, sometimes months (depending on the amount of skin needed to be grown) before the surgery, they place balloons under the skin, and slowly expand them. If skin could not grow and stretch, they wouldn't have skin to cover the newly exposed areas. If stretching doesn't work, then surgeries would have to be canceled. AJ- can you show us an example, ONE, where skin could not be grown for examples such as these?
