As an answer to: Doctors... written by AJ at 13 Feb 2003 11:25:56:

Doctors are our friends, people who are there when we need them for acute, chronic and serious situations in which our lives might be threatened. Everyday we hear of lives being saved through the use of surgeries, pharmaceuticals, radiation and other therapies. Survivors of accidents owe their lives to the skills of that special breed of doctors who staff the emergencies rooms throughout the world. Unfortunately, they are busy people, needing to concentrate on the serious business of getting people back on track to good health.

The subject matter of this forum does not often venture into the area of seriousness. A tight foreskin is not life-threatening. It is less of a medical concern than is the building of the body through weight training and aerobic conditioning and exercise. Doing exercises to stretch the tissue of the foreskin does not involve the need for determining any respirotory or circulatory problems that the exercise could exacerbate. The methods of skin expansion are well known throughout the world and are deliberatly regularly and frequently employed by many thousands daily. One example is that of those restoring their lost foreskins. Another is the expansion of lip tissue by female members of a particular tribe in Africa. All of these thousands successfullly achieve their goals by stretching the skin tissue without encountering the dangers of which you warn. Physicians specializing (don't you love that word?) in helping burn victims employ skin expansion techniques regularly without problems in order to grow new skin to cover areas damaged by fire. Without thinking AJ, even you have used skin expansion as you grew from a tiny baby to the great big baby that you now are. You see, it's built into each and every human on earth. If it were not true, the baby would never be born in the first place. The skin has to expand to accommodate the growth.

Now, the matter of a fungus or yeast infection may or may not be another story. If the infection has not taken hold of the entire body, it is easily treated with OTC compounds. No doubt, if you are a normal male, you have personally encountered such an infection somewhere on your body. The most common spot is between the toes. You picked it up by walking barefoot through the locker room following someone else who was infected. If you start treatment immediately upon recognition of the symptons, you'll be rid of it within two weeks. Even if the infection rages on for a few weeks, the newer compounds are miraculously capable of attacking the culprit and wiping it out. In the rare situation that the victim might have a weak immune system, he may be advised to seek medical help. This particular person in question has expressed no such situation.

AJ, what you are suggesting is the equivalent of answering a call to the police to quell a dog fight with an entire battalion of soldiers. In this case, it isn't necessary until he tries what is suggested and finds it failed.
